Belleville Choral Society’s next concert will be on Saturday, May 11 at 2 pm with the doors opening at 1:30 at St Matthew’s United Church 25 Holloway St, Belleville. Entitled ‘ANYTHING GOES’, the performance will live up to its name with selections celebrating classic jazz arrangements, musical theatre favourites and modern syncopated rhythms. As a special touch to this Mother’s Day weekend event, Music Director Heather Christiansen will conduct the premiere choral performance of Love Endures, a commissioned arrangement from pianist Tom Dietzel. Special guests include the children's ensemble, JOYFUL NOISES CHOIR, directed by Jane Robinson. Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for students and children 16 and under. Flynn will speak about her autobiography, titled A Life Worth Living, which tours the reader on a journey through challenges, celebrations, and contributions. As a woman who lives with Down syndrome, Nicole demonstrates that having Down syndrome doesn’t stop her, society does…or tries too! Nicole’s goal is to inspire people to live their lives to the fullest. She hopes to influence community members, allies, and supporters to give ALL people the chance to try.
Nicole Flynn, from Centre Hastings, is a photographer, professional speaker, and philosopher. Flynn is also the CEO of Nicole Flynn Enterprises and author of A Life Worth Living.

The IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's in Belleville will be hosted on Saturday, May 25th, 2024 at Jane Forrester Park in Belleville (30 S John St). Registration opens at 9:30 am, and the Walk is from 10 am - 12 pm along the Kiwanis Bayshore Trail. Everyone is welcome to join us for this important community fundraiser.
