ANYTHING GOES - Belleville Choral Society concert

Belleville Choral Society’s next concert will be on Saturday, May 11 at 2 pm with the doors opening at 1:30 at St Matthew’s United Church 25 Holloway St, Belleville.  Entitled ‘ANYTHING GOES’, the performance will live up to its name with selections celebrating classic jazz arrangements, musical theatre favourites and modern syncopated rhythms.  As a special touch to this Mother’s Day weekend event, Music Director Heather Christiansen will conduct the premiere choral performance of Love Endures, a commissioned arrangement from pianist Tom Dietzel. Special guests include the children's ensemble, JOYFUL NOISES CHOIR, directed by Jane Robinson. Nicole Flynn, from Centre Hastings, is a photographer, professional speaker, and philosopher. Flynn is also the CEO of Nicole Flynn Enterprises and author of A Life Worth Living.

Curbside pickup meal for seniors, May 16th, 2024 – pick up in Bloomfield

Prince Edward Community Care holds monthly curbside pick-up of meals. This event is on Thursday, May 16th, 2024, and the pickup location is the Bloomfield Town Hall, 289 Bloomfield Main Street, Bloomfield. Chef Bill Grieve of Wheelhouse and Occasions catering is preparing a scrumptious meal. The meal includes homemade soup, roast loin of pork, potatoes, vegetables, and lemon meringue pie for dessert. The cost is $20.00/meal and seniors 60+ can order by calling the Community Care office at 613-476-7493. All meals must be paid for in advance. The Philippine Madrigal Concert

The Philippine Madrigal Singers, one of the world’s most awarded choirs and UNESCO Artists for Peace, continues their mission in upholding choral excellence and advocating music education. As ambassadors of goodwill, they aim to give inspiration for social good and transformation, and promote the message of tolerance and peace.

To celebrate their 60th year and to commemorate the 75 years of Philippine-Canada diplomatic relations, The Philippine Madrigal Singers embarks on a 3-month tour of Canada visiting the regions of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec, Ontario, and Newfoundland!

Join us for an unforgettable evening of beautiful music at Centennial School Auditorium.  Experience the world-renowned harmonies of the Philippine Madrigal Singers (MADZ) as they perform a captivating repertoire that will leave you in awe.  Don't miss this chance to witness their exceptional talent live in person.  Be mesmerized and contribute to a charitable cause.  This fundraising concert will be a meaningful event for this area to promote Cultural Diversity and a beautiful way to promote Philippine Culture.  More importantly, this fundraising event will help the needs of the community of College Hill United Church in Belleville and the Joyful Voices Choir in Trenton.

2024 Pickleball at the Quinte Curling Club

The 2024 Pickleball season at the Quinte Curling Club starts Monday,  April 29 with new pricing and schedules.  Sessions are open Mondays and Wednesdays,  10 am - noon and 6 pm - 8 pm.  Drop in games are $9 each, including HST. For keen players, an unlimited play option is available for $200 including HST.  The season will last 19 weeks excluding dates when the Club is  unavailable:  May 15, June 10, June 12, July 1, August 5 and September 2.  All participants are required to pay and sign a waiver before beginning play.  For more detailed information, click here.
