(WHITEWATER REGION TOWNSHIP, ON) - On January 12, 2022, at approximately 12:30 p.m., members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Renfrew County Paramedics and Whitewater Region Firefighters responded to a two vehicle collision on Beachburg Road. Investigation found that a westbound passenger car lost control on a curve and collided with an eastbound SUV.
The driver of the SUV was taken to hospital by paramedics with minor injuries. The driver of the passenger vehicle, Brandon ANTHONY age 27 of Pembroke, was pronounced deceased at the scene. There were no passengers in either vehicle.
As a result of the collision Beachburg Road was closed between Finchley Road and Westmeath Road for several hours. An OPP Collision Reconstructionist and Technical Collision Investigator are assisting with the investigation.
